CSC Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the super prime residential sector. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing all costs related to building projects, from initial calculations to final figures, ensuring our projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates from inception through to project completion.
- Monitor and control project expenditure to ensure costs remain within budget.
- Conduct regular cost reviews and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and quality services.
- Prepare and manage contract documents, including bill of quantities, schedules of works, and valuations.
- Administer contract changes and manage variations to ensure project objectives are met.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and manage any disputes or claims effectively.
- Conduct regular valuations of ongoing work, assess the value of completed work, and issue payment certificates.
- Evaluate and certify subcontractor and supplier payments.
- Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Conduct risk assessments and prepare contingency plans to address any unforeseen issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all project costs, variations, and contractual changes.
- Prepare and present detailed cost reports, forecasts, and final accounts.
- BSc Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
- Membership in a professional body such as RICS or CIOB is preferred.
- Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the super prime residential sector is essential.
- Proven track record of successfully managing high-value, luxury residential projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal requirements.
