IT Security Manager

About the Company
A leading manufacturing business in the UK market is expanding its in-house IT function following significant investment. This presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned IT Security professional to join a dynamic team and contribute to the company's growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage firewalls, threat monitoring, and endpoint protection systems, including CrowdStrike and MDM solutions.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of security impact on PC/laptop/mobile phone builds, password policies, and VLANs.
- Lead the day-to-day workload, collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the company's security posture, and work with suppliers to optimize security tools.
- Manage the Information Security risk register, conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and perform security design assessments.
- Provide strategic security guidance to the board, including threat and vulnerability reports.
- Directly supervise a Security Analyst and provide guidance on security-related matters.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Proven IT Security background with 3-5 years of experience in a technical role covering IT Security responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of firewalls, core infrastructure, and network security principles.
- Experience with endpoint security systems, including CrowdStrike, from a Network Detection and Response (NDR), threat monitoring, and vulnerability perspective.
- Knowledge of endpoint security in the mobile device space, such as MobileIron or similar vendors.
- Management of 3rd-party vendors.
- In-depth understanding of Information Security frameworks, including ISO27001.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex security concepts into clear, concise language for senior stakeholders.
