About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our team at Version 1, a leading Technology Services company. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing existing customer accounts across the public sector, delivering sales and growth targets, and maximizing revenue while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Raise clients' business concerns and needs to the company's management
  • Deliver sales pitches to prospective clients
  • Prepare and present business and account updates to the company's management and clients
  • Monitor the budget of the client, explain costs or expenditures, and discuss new terms if necessary
  • Follow up with clients to ensure they are satisfied with Version 1 services
  • Contribute information to sales strategies by assessing current results, monitoring competitive products, assessing needs to be filled, and analyzing customer reactions
Requirements
  • Experience working in a business development/account management environment (experience in Public Sector/Central Government is a distinct advantage)
  • Experience in working in IT Services and technology solutions environment (rather than product)
  • Influencing skills: the ability to get people at multiple levels to deliver what you need on time and with high quality, even though they won't report to you will be critical to the success of the role
  • Strong written skills in order to complete tender and internal documentation to a high standard – you must have excellent Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills
  • Experience of building good customer relationships
  • Good commercial awareness and sound understanding of project and business dynamics
  • You'll be capable of effective prioritization of tasks and personal time management, while recognizing and flagging issues outside the area of your own expertise
