Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our client's busy York office. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing unincorporated and company accounts for a range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct audits and reviews of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Meet with clients to discuss financial performance and provide guidance on financial planning and management.
  • Filing VAT returns and bookkeeping, as well as completing basic tax returns.

Requirements

  • Experience of using finance packages such as Xero or Quickbooks.
  • Experience of working with an Accountancy practice.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to work as part of a wider team.
  • Either qualified by experience, part qualified with (ACA or ACCA) or AAT.

About the Role

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours a week. The successful candidate will be a motivated and experienced Senior Accountant who is looking for a new challenge in a dynamic and supportive environment.
