Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Glebe Farm Foods. As a key member of our Engineering and Maintenance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure that site PM and legal checks are completed in the agreed timescales, maintaining a high level of compliance and adherence to regulations.
  • Propose and implement site production improvements, driving efficiency and productivity gains.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering and Maintenance Manager to develop and implement maintenance strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Identify and troubleshoot faults, particularly in PLC control and instrumentation systems.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our production processes and equipment, including boiler room operations, HVAC systems, and chillers.

Requirements:

  • Relevant mechanical or electrical qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in the food manufacturing industry, with a strong understanding of production processes and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Boiler room BOAS Certification (training can be provided) and experience with HVAC and chiller systems.
