Exciting Contract Opportunity for Trim Development Engineer (Seats)

We are seeking a highly skilled Trim Development Engineer (Seats) to join our collaborative team in Gaydon. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for seat development, with a focus on patterning, sewing, and component trimming.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement seat designs, utilizing rendered designs, 3D CAD, drawings, and colour callouts.
  2. Ensure safe working practices, adhering to H&S policies and regulations.
  3. Engineer seat functionality, including airbags and climate control systems.
  4. Work with a variety of materials, including leather, PVCs, and textiles.

Requirements:

  • Experience with all sewing techniques and ability to read and interpret designs.
  • Knowledge of safe working practices and H&S policies.
  • Engineering capability for seat functionality.
  • Previous experience working with leather, PVCs, and textiles.
