About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead our Western Route Delivery team, responsible for the delivery of reactive works at managed railway stations. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and quality execution of works, managing a team of supervisors and operatives, and maintaining high HSEQ standards.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with customers, stakeholders, and team members to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
- Manage a team of supervisors and operatives to ensure the safe and quality execution of works.
- Implement and maintain high HSEQ standards, including CPP/WPP and TBS.
- Plan and coordinate resource levels to ensure timely and safe project delivery.
- Monitor progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage open orders, KPIs, and commercial aspects of the project.
- Support the team on high-priority reactive works and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Proven track record of at least 5 years in a project management environment with a similar national/regional contractor.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to get the best out of individuals, teams, and trade contractors.
- Ability to manage safety performance in line with the Sisk safety code and people performance in line with the Sisk HR code.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all trades required on site, codes of practice, and requirements for works.
- Working towards an academic or professional industry-related qualification, with a CSCS for Managers, SMSTS, First Aid at work Certificate, CDM Awareness, and a driving license.
