About the Role

We are seeking a highly creative and experienced copywriter to lead our talented team in crafting compelling narratives for NatWest Group. As a brand champion and expert storyteller, you will shape the voice of NatWest across all channels, ensuring consistency and impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creative Direction / Development & Concepting
  • Partner with Creative Director and Associate Creative/Design Directors to develop and execute creative strategies that elevate the overall quality of copywriting for NatWest Group.
  • Brand Voice and Tone
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the NatWest Group brand voice and tone, ensuring all copy is consistent and on-brand.
  • Copywriting
  • Write clear, concise, and engaging copy for a variety of marketing materials, including social, email, radio, web, OOH, brochures, and video.
  • Team Management
  • Collaborate with Art Directors, Designers, and other creatives to ensure that copy and visuals work together to deliver a cohesive brand message.
  • Present creative concepts and copy to clients in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Actively manage and mentor a team of copywriters, providing clear direction and constructive feedback to ensure high-quality work.
  • Collaboration and Innovation
  • Inspire the team to achieve creative excellence by encouraging experimentation, brainstorming innovative ideas, and celebrating successes.
  • Assign projects and manage workloads to meet deadlines and client expectations.
  • Conduct regular 121s and performance reviews and identify development opportunities for team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and creative environment within the team.

Requirements

  • A portfolio of work that showcases your exceptional writing skills and experience across a variety of channels and formats.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Copywriter or Associate Creative Director within an agency environment.
  • A deep understanding of brand voice and tone, with the ability to adapt your writing style to different audiences and platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • A passion for creative excellence and a desire to push boundaries in copywriting.
  • Relentlessly curious about people, language, brands, and communication.
  • Self-starting, proactive, and prepared to put in the hard yards to deliver excellent creative output.
