Role Overview:

Are you meticulous and passionate about inventory oversight? As a Stock Assistant at 8Bits, your responsibilities will include managing stock levels, organizing merchandise, and facilitating the smooth operation of our store. Your contribution is crucial in ensuring product availability for our customers and the efficient functioning of our retail space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, unpack, and systematically arrange incoming stock deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
  • Maintain precise inventory records and manage stock levels to guarantee product availability.
  • Organize and store merchandise in the stockroom in accordance with company standards.
  • Assist with stock replenishment on the sales floor, including restocking shelves and creating visually appealing displays.
  • Monitor stock levels and collaborate with the purchasing team to order new inventory as necessary.
  • Address any stock discrepancies or issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Support the sales team by providing stock information and assisting with stock-related inquiries.
  • Ensure the stockroom is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Assist with the implementation of inventory management systems and processes.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding stock management and safety.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in stockroom, inventory management, or a related role is preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and moving stock.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if needed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented attitude.
  • A proactive and self-motivated attitude with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for retail and the entertainment industry.
