About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at RECRUITMENTiQ, working in partnership with a leading mooring systems technology company serving the global energy market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop innovative products for energy markets, including floating offshore wind solutions.
  • Develop new products, improve existing designs, and modify them to meet specific project requirements.
  • Perform calculations to support and verify design work, including Finite Element Analysis.
  • Participate in project design reviews and failure mode effect and criticality analysis.
  • Report writing, creating and managing 3D models and technical drawings, and checking and approving other design engineers' output.
  • Prepare project-specific documents for presentation to clients, authorities, and third parties.
  • Meet with clients and users to determine their requirements and present design solutions.
  • Oversee testing and report conclusions.
Requirements
  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum three years' experience in a similar position.
  • Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • 3D CAD knowledge, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to ensure tasks are prioritized appropriately.
  • Honesty, reliability, and discretion, as working with confidential information.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Experience working with and overseeing suppliers.
  • Experience working in or designing for the offshore industry.
