Job Overview

Position: Marine Technician

Compensation: Up to £60,000 (commensurate with experience) + competitive bonus and benefits

Location: London / Hybrid

Nashrock Insurance Recruitment is representing a prominent and thriving Lloyd's Broker, recognized for its substantial growth and influence within the London Market Insurance sector. This esteemed firm operates globally, with its headquarters strategically located in the City of London, close to the iconic Lloyd's of London building. The company is celebrated for delivering a wide array of insurance and reinsurance solutions to its diverse clientele worldwide.

We are currently seeking a qualified Marine Technician to join their Marine Division. This role entails collaborating with Brokers to facilitate the placement of intricate Worldwide Hull & Machinery, MII, MAP, and Loss of Hire Risks. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating and processing client and market documentation, addressing Underwriter inquiries, and maintaining effective communication with clients and markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively with Brokers to facilitate the placement of complex Marine Risks
  • Prepare Slips, Endorsements, and Cover notes
  • Assist with inquiries from Underwriters
  • Maintain communication with Clients and Markets
  • Oversee the organization of placing files
  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements, including monthly income phasing

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Marine Technical role within a Lloyd's Broker
  • Proficient in Marine Hull & Machinery, MII, MAP, P&I, or Loss of Hire
  • Experienced in creating and processing Slips, Endorsements, and Cover notes
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail
