We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Piping Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing piping systems and pressure equipment for various clients in the energy industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze piping systems and pressure equipment for complex energy projects
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to capture requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to challenging problems in the energy industry
- Work in a collaborative and supportive office/site environment, with a minimum of half of your working week spent in this setting
Requirements:
- Degree-qualified mechanical engineer (or other relevant qualification)
- Experience in piping and pressure vessel design and stress analysis
- Ability to write accurate, detailed, and concise technical reports
- Comfortable engaging with clients, working at their sites, and understanding their issues, goals, and processes
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working in safety-critical and heavily regulated environments, such as nuclear power generation/decommissioning industries
- Chartered with a relevant professional institute (or approaching application for registration)
- Experience with design codes such as ASME BPVC Section III, RCC-M, BS EN 13480, BS EN13445
- Experience in tool/assessment automation, preferably in Python
- Demonstrable experience of requirements capture and task specification
- Demonstrable experience in authoring bids
- Process design
- Site support and installation supervision
- PESR and PSSR compliance
