Position Overview:
Are you a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician with experience in commercial facilities? Are you seeking a workplace that prioritizes professional development and training opportunities?
We are in search of a proficient Electrical Maintenance Technician who has a background in managing electrical systems within commercial settings. This role encompasses a variety of electrical maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, and may involve both mobile and static responsibilities. The position primarily operates during weekdays, with occasional weekend duties and on-call requirements. The focus will be on multiple commercial locations within the designated area.
Compensation Package:
- Competitive salary of £43,000
- Standard working hours from Monday to Friday
- Generous annual leave (25 days plus 8 public holidays)

- No use of a pool vehicle while on-site
- On-call compensation
- Overtime availability
Qualifications and Requirements:
While specific qualifications are preferred, we are open to considering candidates with substantial hands-on experience in the field.
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds certification
- NVQ Level 3 in Electro-technical Technology (including AM2, ECS, Gold Card, C&G 2391 Testing & Inspection) is highly desirable
- City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installations
- City & Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2018); the 17th edition may still be accepted by some employers
- PAT testing certification
Key Responsibilities:
- Lighting maintenance
- Replacement of lamps and ballasts
- Emergency lighting inspections
- Power distribution management
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Small-scale projects such as installing new sockets, lights, and circuits
- PAT Testing
- Maintenance of control panels
- Transformer upkeep
- Star Delta starter maintenance
