About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join our team at Chichester College, West Sussex. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals to the highest standards, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals to meet the needs of our clients and customers.
  • Support with food orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of ingredients and supplies.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure all food is compliant with allergen regulations.
  • Follow recipe cards to prepare, cook, and serve a range of meals, maintaining the highest standards of presentation and quality.
  • Complete daily paperwork to cover due diligence, including temperature checks and stock management.
  • Assist with deliveries, stock checks, and ordering, ensuring seamless kitchen operations.
  • Monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Participate in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans, ensuring a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of all menu items served, ensuring accurate and efficient service.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a positive attitude and high level of professionalism.
  • Maintain the highest standards in food hygiene, service, and presentation, adhering to HACCP and Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Ensure all Food Safety/Quality records are completed daily, without exception.
  • Maintain good communications and working relationships with clients, customers, and staff, promoting a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Adhere to personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform standards, presenting a professional image at all times.
Requirements
  • Relevant culinary qualification desirable.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Health and Safety Level 2 certification.
  • Allergen awareness and knowledge.
  • Excellent team player and communicator, with a confident and proactive approach.
