Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Diagnostic Specialist to join our team at Octane Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and repair advice to customers and their technicians via remote diagnostic portal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using our diagnostic tools and software.
  • Provide technical support and repair advice to customers and their technicians via remote diagnostic portal.
  • Interpret diagnostic codes and data, and recommend corrective actions to ensure a fix on the first contact.
  • Maintain equipment and software updates, and continuously learn new techniques and tools.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, sharing insights and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of diagnostic procedures and outcomes.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service quality.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an auto mechanic using diagnostics.
  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds qualification, or equivalent highly preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electronics, and electrical components of vehicles.
  • Proficient in using automotive diagnostic software and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a real team player with a solution-oriented approach.
