Job Description

Job Title: Electronics Design Engineer

Location: Warton, Lancashire

Salary: £41,361+ depending on skills and experience

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems. As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electronic products for the military aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electronic products, including ground-based and airborne equipment
  • Design analogue and digital circuits
  • Generate circuit schematics and design, test, and validation documentation
  • Report to Group Leader on project progress and deliver projects to budget and schedule constraints

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in Electronic/Electrical Design and production of electronic products in an Engineering environment
  • Experience of designing for EMC and Low Voltage Directive
  • Product testing, commissioning, and fault finding
  • Experience of using Circuit/Schematic Capture, Circuit Simulation, and PCB Layout (Toolset experience preference of Siemens)
  • Working knowledge of Xilinx CPLD's and FPGA's

Desirable Skills:

  • Appreciation of National Instruments (NI) LabVIEW
  • Designing for DO-254 and ATEX
