Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and implement company policies regarding quality, health, safety, and other operational standards.
  • Oversee design tasks and provide project engineering support.
  • Produce CAD models and technical drawings suitable for various manufacturing processes.
  • Guide projects from conception to production, ensuring meticulous attention to design details.
  • Engage in the design and development of CAD, including administrative tasks such as BOM (Bill of Materials), DVP (Design Verification Plan), and Release activities in accordance with the company's NPI process.
  • Incorporate GD&T into mechanical designs.
  • Collaborate closely with the Engineering Analysis team (FEA) to achieve design objectives and promote cost-effective solutions.
  • Work in partnership with Manufacturing to establish viable manufacturing solutions and manage the engineering change process, ensuring Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles are integrated into designs.
  • Maintain regular communication with Lead/Principal Engineers for necessary support.
  • Assist the Programme team to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Effectively communicate design solutions.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders consistently.
  • Participate in formal and on-the-job training regarding software and design methodologies.
  • Provide support to team members as needed.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficient in CAD and CAE tools, with a strong command of Catia V5.
  • Experience in part modeling, drafting, and surfacing using CATIA V5.
  • Solid understanding of engineering design principles.
  • Familiarity with design-to-manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of managing engineering change requests and claims.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in your role.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Willingness to assist colleagues.
  • A positive approach to overcoming challenges and adapting to change.
  • Must possess full rights to work in the UK; sponsorship or work permits are not available.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Understanding of GD&T principles.
