Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our team at PayPoint Group. As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing customer payments, chasing debt, and building strong business relationships with our clients.
Main Responsibilities:
- Allocate payments in accordance with customer remittances and information supplied by the Settlement Team across all company entities.
- Chase debt by communicating with clients and building strong business relationships.
- Generate and send reminder letters and fortnightly statements to clients.
- Liaise with other team members and the Clients Services team to resolve queries about outstanding invoices.
- Run weekly Aged Debt Reports and provide updates to Management about high-risk accounts.
- Initiate the legal process to collect outstanding debts, working closely with the Legal team.
- Maintain and improve current Credit Control policies and procedures.
- Assist the Sales Ledger Team with absence and holiday cover as needed.
- Deal with ad-hoc Credit Control queries as required.
Essential Attributes:
- Experience working in a Credit Control department.
- Excellent numeracy and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in IT packages such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Confident and professional telephone manner.
- A well-organized individual with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when necessary.
- Capacity to work under pressure and meet strict guidelines and targets.
Desirable Attributes:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central or another computerized accounting system.
- General accounts processing knowledge would be beneficial.
