Job Title: Aerospace Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aerospace Safety Manager to join our team at DO & CO. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, clients, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Health and Safety Plans: Create and execute comprehensive health and safety plans to ensure compliance with legal guidelines and industry standards.
  2. Establish a Safety Culture: Develop policies and procedures to cultivate a safety culture within our organization, assess risks, and promote a culture of safety awareness.
Training and Awareness

Conduct training sessions to raise employee awareness of fire and water health and safety matters, with a focus on airside understanding.

Monitoring and Corrective Actions
  1. Monitor Compliance: Regularly monitor compliance with health and safety policies and regulations, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  2. Inspect Equipment and Investigate Incidents: Inspect equipment, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Performance Tracking and Reporting

Track health and safety performance metrics and report on health and safety metrics to management, stakeholders, and clients.

Collaboration and Improvement

Collaborate with managers to improve health and safety, environment, and well-being practices, and help the team understand the needs and obligations to follow the rules and laws in the UK.

ISO 45001 Certification

Lead the implementation of effective management systems to achieve ISO 45001 certification.

Client Communication

Effectively communicate health and safety guidelines, performance, and initiatives to clients, and experience running internal audits and representing the company during the annual external audits.

Qualifications
  1. Proven Experience: Proven experience in a safety management role, preferably in airline catering or related industry.
  2. Qualifications: Minimum NEBOSH General certificate; NEBOSH Diploma, CMIOSH, IOSH, IFSM desirable.
  3. Knowledge and Skills: In-depth knowledge of health and safety laws, regulations, and ISO 45001 standards, excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and analytical and problem-solving skills.
  4. Additional Requirements: Airside experience preferred, comprehensive understanding of food safety and hygiene practices in the catering industry, and management experience in property, development, or aviation-related fields beneficial.
