We are excited to present an opportunity for a dedicated individual to step into the crucial position of Water Treatment Operations Specialist. This role is integral to our Water Production team, where you will contribute significantly to the water treatment process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and operation of mobile equipment to ensure timely and quality service delivery.
- Focus on essential tasks such as filter skimming, granular activated carbon (GAC) management, and re-sanding of Slow Sand Filters (SSF).
- Utilize specialized mobile machinery, including skimmers, loading shovels, dumpers, and excavators. You will also operate the Floatex plant (Sand Washer) and GAC separation plants as needed.
- Maintain site cleanliness, perform equipment checks, and adhere to maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations as mandated by company policies.
- A self-driven individual who thrives in a team environment, demonstrating discipline and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to quickly address faults, displaying curiosity to understand issues and find effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster teamwork.
- Basic literacy, numeracy, and digital skills are essential.
- Willingness to undergo safety training and obtain necessary certifications.
- Experience with 7 Tonne Dumper operation is preferred, along with a readiness to acquire additional machinery skills.
