About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Category Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing a variety of categories, focusing on supplier relationship management and supplier sourcing, and negotiating contracts and cost savings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of categories, including supplier relationship management and supplier sourcing
  • Negotiate contracts and cost savings with suppliers
  • Work independently with a remote reporting line
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth
Requirements
  • Hands-on category management experience within the manufacturing sector
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven record of cost savings
  • Flexible and adaptable to work with different categories
  • Strong rapport-building skills for supplier relationship development
