About the Role

Gleeson Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled In-House Construction Lawyer to join our client's team. As a leading provider of specialist engineering, asset management, and inspection services, our client is looking for an experienced lawyer to support their construction arm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts for projects ranging from large frameworks to support capital investment.
  • Draft board papers for projects at pre-tender, tender, and post-tender stages.
  • Review and draft collateral warranties, NDAs, parent company guarantees, retention, performance bonds, and framework agreements.
  • Draft and implement policies and procedures to support bid teams, quantity surveyors, and commercial managers.
  • Manage multiple complex legal matters simultaneously.
Requirements
  • Qualified solicitor with 3-6 years PQE.
  • Experience in non-contentious and contentious construction matters.
  • Familiar with standard form construction contracts: JCT, NEC, and FIDIC.
  • Litigation experience an advantage.
  • Acts with integrity and discretion.
  • Proactive and pragmatic.
  • Hands-on: gets involved with issues, support and challenge colleagues constructively.
  • Able to communicate and work with people collaboratively at all levels.

This is an opportunity to build the construction section of the team from the ground up and work in-house in the Construction and Engineering sector.
