Role Overview:
As a Senior HVAC Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating innovative engineering solutions that address a wide range of complex interactions and requirements. Your role will involve:
- Collaborating with suppliers to establish and document specifications for equipment and components that meet stringent product demands.
- Engaging with clients to identify requirements and acceptance criteria based on operational scenarios and design considerations.
- Conducting and evaluating engineering calculations and analyses to inform design decisions and validate system performance.
- Preparing comprehensive design documentation to support a safe and effective design, fostering client confidence in the proposed solutions.
- Coordinating with a diverse stakeholder group to resolve intricate engineering challenges and make informed engineering decisions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, or related Science disciplines, with a focus on achieving professional accreditation.
- Proven experience with HVAC or cooling systems.
- Background in the design and development of mechanical systems, preferably within the Defence or Marine Engineering sectors.
- Ability to produce design documentation and effectively present it to clients and broader audiences.
- Expertise in performing complex calculations related to fluid dynamics and thermal transfer.
- Proficient in CAD software, finite element analysis (FEA), Matlab, Flomaster, and other relevant engineering tools.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
