Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Operations Coordinator to join our team at VanRath. As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Transactions
- Process journal entries daily in Sage, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Liaise with Accounts Payable and Billing team daily to facilitate payments and resolve any discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting
- Create and post prepaid expense schedules, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely completion.
- Perform accruals for expenses and update accrual schedules for audit trail purposes.
- Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the finance team to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to resolve financial queries and provide timely updates.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role, with a strong understanding of financial operations and procedures.
- Part-qualified (ACCA, IATI, CIMA) or equivalent accounting certification.
- Experience with reconciling balance sheet accounts and posting journals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
