Red Recruitment 24/7 Ltd is seeking a skilled Technical Officer to join their team in Scunthorpe. This full-time, permanent position is based in the food manufacturing site within the Raw Materials department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining approved raw material and supply chain lists, managing live specifications databases, and refreshing, reviewing, and signing off raw material and packaging specifications.

Key responsibilities include risk assessment of new materials and supply chains, establishing intake acceptance criteria for raw materials, and maintaining raw material micro/compositional analysis schedules.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable relevant experience in a quality role with food manufacturing, detailed knowledge of raw materials, food manufacturing processes, and a good understanding of fundamentals.

They will also have knowledge of food legislation, BRCGS, and customer requirements, as well as an understanding of food defence and its interaction within raw materials.

The successful candidate will be able to work with IT packages, including Windows 365, ERP, and customer platforms.

Key Requirements:
