Transformative Solution Architect Opportunity at Manchester Airport Group

Manchester Airport Group (MAG) is seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to join our Asset Management Product Tower. As a key member of our IT team, you will play a crucial role in transforming our business through technology, digital, and automation.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect who can help us define technology solutions to meet business requirements, taking into account systems, data, process, and people. You will work closely with business analysts, project managers, development teams, and stakeholders to ensure that solutions meet desired business outcomes and add value to MAG.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver design specifications to the level of detail required to begin engineering
  • Recommend and design structures and tools for processes, applications, and technologies that meet business needs
  • Work collaboratively with engineering teams, business analysts, and product leads to define solutions that meet business objectives and are deliverable in the desired timeframes
  • Support business case development and benefit identification and benefit realization
  • Present IT solutions to a range of stakeholders in the business and technical communities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience as a Solution Architect in an Asset Management setting
  • Detailed technical knowledge spanning enterprise technologies, systems, and infrastructure, private and public cloud, development, and DevOps toolsets
  • Experience building and executing an IT strategy, maintaining a technology roadmap, and adapting to business, market, and technical change
  • Extensive experience of developing, mapping, and maintaining a technical architecture using a recognised methodology
  • Ability to understand and articulate the interactions between business functions, processes, and IT components
  • Demonstrable experience of maintaining knowledge of innovative, cutting-edge, and emerging technology trends and solutions
