HGV Technician - Days Position Overview

You will be responsible for fast and accurate diagnoses using diagnostic tools and for choosing the right repair techniques.

You will work independently to maintain and repair DAF vehicles and components.

You will carry out a range of inspections (MOT, tacho, etc.).

You will provide support and daily mentoring for less experienced technicians.

You will carry out final checks on work that has been completed.

HGV Technician - Days Position Requirements

A broad vehicle-related technical knowledge, preferably of DAF products.

An extensive experience in carrying out repairs and maintenance on trucks, components and associated vehicles.

You will be required to provide your own tool-kit and be in possession of a valid driving licence.

HGV Technician - Days Position Remuneration

The hourly rate will start at £17.50 per hour, negotiable based on experience.

Day shift rotating - Monday to Friday.

Two shifts available: 00 through to 2.30 pm with half hour unpaid meal break, and 00pm through to 10.30 pm with a half hour unpaid meal break.

Basic hours of 45- or 50-hour weeks, with a flat hourly rate.

A shift attendance allowance of £80 per week on top of the basic salary.
