Job Title: Production Welding Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced Production Welding Supervisor to join our team. As a Production Welding Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of welders, ensuring the production of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Production Welders, driving productivity and ensuring work is completed to high standards. - Work Scheduling & Planning:
Collaborate with other supervisors to effectively schedule and coordinate work within the welding section. Plan and allocate resources, including materials and personnel, to ensure smooth and efficient production operations. - Quality Assurance:
Maintain strict quality control measures, ensuring that all welding work meets the required standards for products such as shop fittings, campervan conversions, and office installations. - Technical Support & Process Improvement:
Provide technical guidance and support to the welding team, particularly in TIG and MIG welding of thin sheet mild steel and stainless steel. Contribute to the improvement of products and production processes by offering insights and recommendations based on your extensive experience. - Consumables & Equipment Management:
Manage and oversee the use of consumables, ensuring that all necessary materials are available and used efficiently. Ensure that all welding equipment is well-maintained and in proper working order, coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed. - Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of welding experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Extensive knowledge of TIG and MIG welding, preferably in batch production of thin sheet mild steel and stainless steel. - Desirable Skills:
Leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team. Strong technical proficiency in welding processes, with a deep understanding of quality standards. Knowledge of CAD is a bonus. Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage schedules and resources effectively.
