About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Textiles Design Manager to join our team at House Of Fashion Associates. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating premium designs for bedding, curtains, and cushions for our brand and external high street retailers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing premium designs for bedding, curtains, and cushions
- Creating artwork to internal and external briefs
- Managing a small team of designers
- Reporting to the Head of Product
- Analysing customer and competitor data to identify design and colour gaps
- Identifying seasonal trends and concepts for internal discussion and development
- Presenting ideas to commercial and premium customers
- Designing to customer specifications and briefs
- Texture mapping product for presentations
- Preparing designs for colouring and printing
- Producing layouts and briefs for suppliers
- Liaising with customers through the design selection process
- Logging and organising quality samples
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in textiles soft furnishings design for a premium brand
- Design degree in Printed Textiles and homeware/bedding experience
- Good drawing skills
- Managing a small team
- Knowledge of design software such as Ned Graphics or AVA, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Ability to work as a team and use own initiative
- Experience in soft furnishing textile design for high street retailers
- Ability to organise a busy workload and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
