Role Overview:

As an Outpatient Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to clients with eating disorders, working collaboratively with them and other professionals to develop and implement personalized treatment plans. You will also be involved in discharge planning and follow-up care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions to support clients in achieving independent living skills and confidence.
  • Work collaboratively with clients and other professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based and client-centered care.
  • Participate in discharge planning and follow-up care.
  • Supervise junior staff and contribute to the development of junior staff.

Requirements:

  • BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy and full BVAOT membership and HPC registration.
  • Member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists.
  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
  • Previous experience working with clients with eating disorders or other mental health conditions.
  • Experience of group interventions and supervising junior staff.
  • Highly developed communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
