Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Watchkeeper with specific duties in supporting the Bus Service Improvement Project. As a key member of our Network Operations Control Centre, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our county-wide transportation network.
Main Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage our county-wide CCTV network to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Utilize web-based software to track weather conditions and make informed decisions to mitigate potential disruptions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve traffic management and fault detection issues through our Urban Traffic Control systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communication to the public, DCC colleagues, emergency services, and other stakeholders.
- Process abnormal load notifications in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
- Police vetting to NPPV2 and a basic DBS check will be required.
- Highways experience is desirable, but adaptability and critical thinking are essential.
