Contract role with potential for extension

Location: Leamington Spa

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday from 9am to 5:30pm, and Friday from 9am to 3pm

Compensation: £24.00 Umbrella rate

Company Overview:
Our client, Apex Resource Management, is a distinguished manufacturing supplier based in Leamington Spa, renowned for its expertise in prototype and low-volume components. They offer a diverse range of services including 3D Printing, Vacuum Forming, Injection Moulding, Casting, Metal Fabrication, CNC machining, and specialized composite manufacturing.

Position Overview:
They are currently seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join their dedicated team on a full-time contract basis. This role is integral to the production process and requires a strong background in welding and fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Utilize jigs and fixtures to produce MIG and TIG welded components.
2. Interpret and work from engineering drawings.
3. Fabricate and assemble mild steel and aluminum products, ensuring quality and precision.
4. Set up and operate a Brake Press Machine.
5. Conduct sheet metal fabrication and assembly.
6. Employ hand tools, sanders, and grinders effectively.
7. Perform routine checks and address any operational issues.
8. Maintain machinery by ensuring cleanliness and operational efficiency, including material inventory management.
9. Conduct quality inspections to verify adherence to specifications.
10. Work efficiently within strict timelines and tolerances.

Essential Skills:
- Proficient in MIG welding, with TIG experience considered an asset.
- Experience in setting and operating Brake Press Machines.
- Background in a production environment is preferred.
- Skilled in welding mild steels of various thicknesses.
- Capable of performing continuous welds on longer materials.
- Familiarity with heavier gauge welding techniques.
- Proficient with handheld tools.
- Demonstrates a proactive approach and adaptability, requiring minimal supervision.
