About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious researcher to join our team at UCL Earth Sciences as a Lecturer or Associate Professor in Experimental Earth Materials. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of research in rock physics, experimental petrology, and/or mineral physics, and will be able to contribute to our existing research programs.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field and a strong publication record in leading international research journals. They will also have a clear vision for their research program and the ability to secure external funding to support their work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent research in Experimental Earth Materials
  • Develop and lead research projects, including securing external funding
  • Teach and supervise undergraduate and graduate students
  • Contribute to the development of the Experimental Earth Materials research group

Requirements

  • PhD in a relevant field
  • Strong publication record in leading international research journals
  • Ability to secure external funding to support research
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
