Position Overview

Primary Responsibilities
  • Understand and implement British Standards practices effectively.
  • Perform installation, servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Access Control, Intruder Alarm, and CCTV systems, with a solid understanding of I.P networking.
  • Accurately complete daily work documentation.
  • Utilize electronic systems proficiently.
  • Maintain high standards in timesheets and job reports.
  • Commit to the on-call schedule, with call-outs based on departmental needs (Installation/Service).
Qualifications and Skills
  • Applicants should possess the following qualifications:
  • Maths and Science (preferably Physics) at A2 level (A-C) or SQA Higher (A-B).
  • English at GCSE (A-C) or National 5 (Scotland).
  • Alternatively, candidates may have relevant experience in a technical role and hold a minimum of an HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
  • Ability to learn and retain information effectively.
  • Demonstrated punctuality and presentability.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A valid UK driving license is mandatory.
Please note that assessments focusing on numeracy and literacy will be conducted to evaluate candidates' suitability for the apprenticeship program.
