About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a fast-growing general construction company that undertakes a range of education and industrial/commercial schemes, largely refurbishment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review job specifications and pricing documents to ensure accurate project planning.
- Coordinate with design consultants to achieve cost-effective designs that meet client requirements.
- Procure materials and equipment competitively throughout the project lifecycle to ensure optimal budget utilization.
- Source, manage, and oversee subcontractors to ensure timely project completion.
- Monitor and update project schedules to ensure projects are delivered on time.
- Liaise with clients regularly, providing fortnightly progress reports to maintain open communication.
- Conduct monthly project valuations and invoicing to ensure accurate financial management.
- Manage pricing for any contract variations or additional works to maximize profitability.
- Review project budgets with a focus on maximizing profitability and ensuring financial sustainability.
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained on all sites to protect employees and clients.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role within the construction industry, preferably with a general construction company.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to maintain open communication with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including project management software.
- Flexibility to work independently or as part of a team, with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
