Care Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our close-knit care team at Westerton Care Home. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.
About the RoleAs a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting residents with their daily routines, promoting independence, and ensuring their overall health and wellbeing are prioritized. You will work closely with our nursing team to deliver personalized care plans and provide hands-on support to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily tasks, such as getting dressed and staying active, while encouraging them to make positive choices and remain independent.
- Personalized Care: Follow and support each resident's personalized care plan, providing thoughtful attention to their individual needs.
- Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents' health, communicate concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assist with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
- Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued and cared for in every interaction.
- Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
- Safety and Comfort: Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, and respond quickly to emergencies or call bells.
- Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
