Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Detection and Suppression Systems Supervisor to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire detection and suppression systems across various sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Supervision: Supervise and manage a team of engineers and subcontractors on site, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • System Maintenance: Oversee the preventative maintenance, routine service, and remedial works associated with fire detection and gas suppression systems, including conventional, addressable, and networked systems.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to the team, including mechanical system maintenance, repair, and modification, as well as fire extinguisher maintenance.
  • Contract Management: Manage contracts on site, notifying of any alterations or variations to design, and reporting back to the Field Leadership Manager.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of works completed and ongoing projects, submitting weekly reports to the Field Leadership Manager.
  • Subcontractor Monitoring: Monitor the performance of subcontractors, reporting any issues or downtime that could result in costs to Johnson Controls International.
  • Health and Safety: Conduct regular safety audits to ensure that employees and subcontractors are using the correct equipment in the correct manner, and monitor the health and safety of allocated staff and subcontractors.
  • Culture and Customer Service: Promote the Johnson Controls culture within the team, ensuring inclusivity, diversity, and empowerment, and establish and manage customer service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Communication and Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to develop and supervise a team.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to deal with new and unexpected situations with a proactive and professional approach.
  • Technical Skills: Relevant gas suppression experience, mechanical fire suppression system experience, and supervisory experience are desirable.
  • Education and Certifications: A full driving license is required.
