Job Description

Job Title: Early Years Lead

Job Summary:

Barnardo's is seeking an experienced Early Years Lead to oversee and manage the Early Years and Children and Young People's workers who deliver a range of services in the Children and Family Centres in Warwickshire. The successful candidate will have a good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and child development, and will be responsible for developing timetables, allocating staff to sessions, and promoting the Children and Family Centres with partner agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective timetables for the Early Years services
  • Allocate staff to sessions and ensure adequate coverage
  • Promote the Children and Family Centres with partner agencies, including nurseries and schools
  • Identify potential partners to offer new services to families
  • Liaise closely with the admin team to promote services via social media and with the Volunteer Co-ordinator for the recruitment and allocation of volunteers
  • Work autonomously and as part of a team to deliver a range of services within the community
  • Support the delivery of services to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and child development
  • Experience of working with the 5-19 year age group (up to 25 years for SEND)
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel throughout the locality to meet the requirements of the role
