HGV Class 1 Driver Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic HGV Class 1 driver to join our team at Workforce Staffing Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods to NDCs, RDCs, and trunking work from our busy Bellshill depot.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving within WTD and EU regulations and rules.
  • Preparing vehicles for delivery.
  • Completing vehicle checks.
  • Refuelling vehicles.
  • Maintaining high levels of customer service and ensuring orders are fulfilled on time and in full.

Requirements:

  • In-date DIGI and CPC card.
  • Ability to work weekends.
  • Motivated and open to learning new skills.
  • Demonstrates an excellent attitude to work.

Working Hours:

  • Tuesday - Saturday PM starts (1, 2, 3, or 4 shifts per week).
  • Day pay rates: £15.87 (overtime after 47.5 hours £17.85), £17.85 (Saturday), £23.80 (Sunday and Bank Holidays).
  • Night pay rates: £18.13 (overtime after 47.5 hours £20.39), £20.39 (Saturday), £27.19 (Sunday and Bank Holidays).
