Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the execution of the weekly production schedule, collaborating with Production Leaders and Manufacturing Engineers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to the required quality standards.
  • Conduct fundamental first principle measurements, uphold the 5S standard within the workspace, maintain the calibration of tools and equipment, and manage the effective distribution of resources and materials.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A recognized time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering, with qualifications such as City and Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or BTEC national.
  • Proven experience in utilizing various engineering tools and the ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately to achieve the desired product quality.
  • Relevant inspection experience with engine components is preferred.
  • Proficiency in PC usage is required.
  • A flexible and adaptable mindset is essential.
  • Willingness to acquire new skills and undergo training to support business needs.
  • Familiarity with lean principles and basic processes.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of quality tools, systems, and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a customer-focused environment that is subject to change.
  • Ability to work within a strict 3-shift pattern.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Possession of an NPL level 1 qualification.
  • Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).

Work Schedule:

  • This position operates on a rotating 3-shift pattern from Monday to Friday.
