We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Learning Support Assistant to support pupils across several alternative school provisions in Bradford.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and structured environment that fosters learning and personal development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and group support to pupils with challenging behaviour, helping them to manage their emotions and behaviour.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies in collaboration with the SENCo and teaching staff.
  • Support academic progress by helping pupils understand and engage with the curriculum.
  • Foster a safe learning environment that promotes inclusivity and respect.
  • Collaborate with staff and parents to ensure consistent support for each pupil.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and has the following skills and qualities:

  • Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour.
  • Ability to implement behaviour management strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
