We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Delivery Manager to join our team at oilandgas. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for leading and managing internal development and quality assurance across all Energy Supply interfaces and applications.
Key Responsibilities- IT Roadmap Planning: Develop and maintain the IT roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and priorities.
- Team Management: Lead and manage internal teams, providing technical support and guidance to maintain effectiveness.
- Resource Management: Maintain resource profiles, manage delivery, and ensure the quality of deliverables.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of deliverables through planning, regular code reviews, documentation, and testing.
- Process Improvement: Identify ongoing improvements to working practices and delivery mechanisms, and enact changes to deliver improved IT services.
- IT Risk Management: Maintain an IT Risk log and evidence mitigation activities and remediation planning.
- Technical Design Authority: Act as a member of the technical design authority, ensuring consistent design and architecture within security policy.
- Application Roadmap: Contribute to the IT application roadmap and technical roles required.
- Data Strategy: Contribute to the Data Strategy for Energy Supply.
- Estimate Validation: Validate estimates, allocation, and planning proposals, resolving conflicts and issues.
- Performance Metrics: Maintain performance metrics for the teams under direction.
- Leadership Experience: A minimum of 5 years' leadership experience in an IT discipline with a strong and proven ability in people management.
- Strategic Planning: Experience of strategic planning and resource management.
- IT Delivery Experience: Strong track record in the successful delivery of IT solutions within the Energy Industry, coordinating development and test, and being responsible for transition to in-production support, and for delivery of outcomes from projects.
- Program Management: Management of programmes and/or project plans with demonstrable successful deliveries to time and quality.
- Assurance and Governance: Has acted in the role of assurance, governance of solutions and delivery.
- Matrix Management: Experience of the challenges operating within matrix management structures is preferred with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Financial Management: Previous roles have contained aspects of financial management (e.g. setting budgets, tracking spend).
- IT Qualifications: IT / technical qualifications for supporting, maintaining, and/or developing and integrating applications, e.g. Microsoft/AWS certifications, architecture (TOGAF), ITIL / ITSM.
- IT Methodologies: IT Methodologies - e.g. Agile, SAFe, MoR.
- Portfolio, Program, or Project Management: Portfolio, Program or Project Management qualifications, e.g. Prince 2 or Agile PM.
