Deputy Manager - Care Home

Location: Colchester

Position: Deputy Manager, Care Home

Salary: £30,000

Hours: Full time

Contract type: Permanent

As a Deputy Manager, you will support the care home operations to meet or exceed goals while ensuring high-quality care. You will oversee care staff and manage the care home in the Manager's absence. You will train and supervise staff, assist with resident pre-admission assessments, maintain care plans and records, and facilitate communication with families and other organisations.

About the Care Home

Registered for up to 38 service users, the care home provides dementia and respite care. The care home has excellent reviews and feedback from residents and families. The care home always puts the residents at the heart of everything they do - always providing the highest standards of care.

Requirements
  • Previous Deputy Home Manager experience.
  • The ability to engage with the service users to understand their needs in order to provide excellent services of care.
  • Good working knowledge of CQC standards.
  • The ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with external care professionals, families, visitors and staffing team.
  • Ability to promote ownership of care programs by fully involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing and evaluating care programs within the home.
