Spanish Teacher Position at a Prestigious Westminster School

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Spanish teacher to join our team at a renowned independent school in the heart of Westminster. As a dedicated educator, you will play a vital role in shaping the students' language skills and fostering their love for the Spanish culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging Spanish lessons to students in primary and secondary school levels, promoting active participation and individual growth.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to thrive and reach their full potential.
  • Develop and implement effective assessments to evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create innovative teaching strategies and resources, ensuring a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with current educational practices, methodologies, and standards, applying this knowledge to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on students' performance and progress.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as required, contributing to the school's mission and values.
Requirements
  • A relevant bachelor's degree, preferably in Spanish or a related field, with a strong foundation in language and culture.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification, demonstrating a commitment to teaching excellence.
  • Proven experience teaching Spanish to primary and/or secondary school students, with a track record of success and student achievement.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Spanish language, including grammar, vocabulary, and cultural aspects, with the ability to convey this knowledge effectively to students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students, parents, and colleagues in a professional and respectful manner.
  • A passion for education and a genuine interest in supporting students' language development, with a commitment to creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Knowledge of current educational practices, trends, and technology integration, with the ability to apply this knowledge to enhance teaching and learning.
