Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled VAT Senior Manager/Associate Director to join our Indirect Tax team at PRO-TAX RECRUITMENT LIMITED. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality VAT services to our clients, including project delivery, review of junior staff work, and liaison with HMRC.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for project delivery on your portfolio, ensuring assignments are completed within agreed budgets and scope.
- Review work prepared by junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Liaise with HMRC, identifying and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including senior management and key stakeholders.
- Identify business development opportunities and work with the Partner and client to develop these.
- Provide overall support to Partners on client matters, including recruitment and management of staff.
Requirements
- Significant understanding of and previous experience within UK VAT, including recent key updates and areas of focus in Real estate and Construction VAT.
- In-depth knowledge of VAT compliance and advice required by clients.
- Ability to manage a large and varied client portfolio, actively seeking opportunities for selling new services to existing clients.
- Experience of dealing directly with HMRC and client senior management.
- Ideally CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent.
