Position Overview

Hobson Prior is in search of an Interim Logistics and Inventory Operations Manager. This position entails overseeing supply chain and logistics functions, managing vendor and supplier performance, and ensuring the seamless operation of inventory systems. The ideal candidate will also take charge of stock management and compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise logistics and supply chain service providers.
  • Work collaboratively with teams to assess vendor and supplier performance.
  • Design and execute inventory management systems.
  • Manage scheduling and planning tools to facilitate material flow.
  • Ensure compliance with custody procedures.
  • Lead and engage in external supply chain projects.
  • Oversee on-site inventory and coordinate between offsite storage and the main production facility.
  • Implement and uphold Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliant inventory systems.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with partners, logistics teams, and other service providers.
  • Ensure that supply chain and inventory management practices meet GMP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Manage relationships with key service providers and supply chain partners.
  • Lead the logistics and inventory management team, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and staff development.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated management experience in a GMP biopharmaceutical inventory environment.
  • Proficient in managing logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Experience with multiple logistics systems supporting a GMP inventory operation.
  • Proven track record in drafting and reviewing GMP documentation.
  • Experience in liaising with regulatory bodies and clients.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A degree qualification is preferred.
