English Teacher Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated English teacher to join our team at a superb school in Enfield. As an English teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that engage and inspire students in the primary or secondary education sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan and prepare engaging and creative lessons in English to students in the primary or secondary education sector.
  • Student Assessment and Progression: Assess and evaluate student progress through regular tests, assignments, and examinations.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, and effectively manage classroom dynamics and behavior.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans, and provide feedback to students and parents on their academic performance.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field, and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience: Proven experience in teaching English in a primary or secondary school setting.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and assessment frameworks, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics and behavior.
