About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Care Assistant to join our team at Braefield Nursing Home. As a Mental Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents with mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering meaningful relationships and promoting a sense of compassion.
  • Assist residents with personal care tasks and mobility, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Assess and observe the emotional and physical wellbeing of residents, recognising changes and reporting as necessary in a timely manner.
  • Support residents to live independently by teaching life skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, and budgeting.
  • Maintain accurate records, communicating effectively with residents and their families.
  • Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager.
