We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at Skilled Careers, working with a leading Fire Stopping Contractor. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of passive fire protection projects, including tendering, cost management, and contractual documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and control the commercial aspects of passive fire protection projects, including tendering, cost management, and contractual documentation.
- Work with the team to clarify scope of works, advise on cost control, and negotiate contracts.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest legal requirements, regulations, and industry developments.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure successful project delivery.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Estimator in the UK Main Contractor industry.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to interpret contracts and analyze costs for each project.
- Highly adaptable to new systems and possess superior IT skills, including Excel.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision with high levels of quality and attention to detail.
- Competitive salary of £40,000 - £60,000.
