Job Title: 1:1 Learning Support Assistant SEND

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist provision in Loughton. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, with a temporary-permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a passion for education. You will provide 1:1 support to students with a variety of special needs, including ASD, SEMH, complex learning disabilities, and behavioral support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise students with SEND, ensuring their safety and ability to access learning activities and understand the information presented.
  • Aid the execution of education plans suitable to each student's learning objectives.
  • Build a trusting relationship with all students and communicate according to their understanding.
  • Promote class interaction and ensure students engage throughout the lessons.
  • Create an interesting environment for students.
  • Assist students with practical activities using a variety of teaching aids.
  • Look after students' physical, social, and emotional welfare.
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with SEND or children.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for education and creating an environment in which students can improve their studies.
  • The ability to use your creative nature to engage students, improve confidence, and positively influence a fun and supportive learning process.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
